Week of courses in Paris

Intensive week of courses at CDI Headquarter

From the 7th to the 11th of January the 2018 September intake of CDI Italia had the pleasure of joining another intensive week of courses at CDI headquarter in Paris, together with their French and German colleagues. The week was split into three main parts, spending two days with professor Marc Bertoneche, two days with Mr. Didier Miraton and one day with Mr. Thomas Piper.

Mr. Marc Bertoneche is Visiting Professor at the Harvard Business School, Distinguished Visiting Professor at HEC Paris and Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, Oxford University. Expert in Finance, he’s also been part of the board of directors in several major companies all over the world. The CDI fellows have been the pleasure to join the first half of a series of lectures dedicated to the evaluation of companies and the management of large corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Didier Miraton was a Managing Partner of the Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA from 2007 to 2011 and CEO of Laboratoires Pierre Fabre. With the CDI fellows, he shared his incredible experience and knowledge of interprocess management. Thanks to him, the fellows have also had the opportunity to participate to three consecutive masterclasses, by Ewoud Huig (partner at BearingPoint), Madjid Hihi (senior consultant at Life Science&Healthcare consulting) and Philippe Forestier (Executive Vice-President, Global Affairs and Communities in Dassault Systemes). The personal and professional stories have been really inspiring for the fellow and a great occasion to have an insight from the top management of international companies and large corporates.

Mr. Thomas Pieper is CFO of Swiss Post Solutions and Head of Financial Services Swiss Post. As Alumnus of CDI, graduating class 1997, his careers is an example of what all the MBA fellows aim to do and be in the future. Furthermore, he is still every year in contact with CDI, demonstrating is willing to transmit his experience and values to the new intakes. For the fellows, his lecture upon leadership was one of the most inspiring and thoughtful of the MBA. “Great leaders inspire their people to reach higher, dream bigger, and achieve greater” and Mr. Pieper is surely one of them.
