Prof. Roman Boutellier

As Vice President of the ETH in Zurich, Professor Boutellier has a significant role in the academic landscape of Switzerland. In 2004, he was selected as the new Professor for Technology and Innovation Management at the ETH. From 1993-94 he served as Professor for Innovation and Logistics at the University of St. Gallen. On top of that, he has outstanding management experience due to his positions as CEO of SIG in Neuhausen am Rheinfall (1994-2004) and as a member of the executive committee of Leica Heerbrugg (1987-1993). Professor Boutellier gained a PhD in mathematics (ETH Zurich) and completed a postdoc at Imperial College London. His class at the Collège has an interactive nature: students will acquire new knowledge through group work as they examine the various issues affecting innovation and technology management.
