Prof. Jacqueline Fendt

Professor Jacqueline Fendt is an emeritus professor of strategy and entrepreneurship at ESCP Europe and the founder of the school's chair of entrepreneurship. Her impressive educational background includes an MBA from GSBA/Boston University, a PhD in mathematics (cum laude) from Leiden University, a PhD in business administration from JCME Boston/Zurich, and a habilitation in management science from Strasbourg University.

Professor Fendt began her entrepreneurial journey at 23, founding a translation and interpretation service in Malta. She went on to hold executive positions at major corporations such as Ciba-Geigy Basel (now Novartis), Digital Equipment Corporation (now HP), and Siber Hegner Group (now DKSH). Jacqueline Fendt founded and chaired Business Angels Schweiz (www.businessangels.ch), an organization that identifies, finances, and coaches promising seed and start-up companies, mainly in bio- and nanotech. Between 2001 and 2004, she was dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration.

Professor Fendt serves on the boards of international companies in life sciences and transportation, and serves as a long-standing expert to the European Commission in innovation and entrepreneurship.
