Prof. Christian Hofmann

Professor Hofmann is head of the Institute for Accounting and Control at the LMU Munich. After studying industrial engineering at TH Darmstadt, followed by a doctorate and habilitation in business administration, also at the LMU, he taught at the universities of Hanover, Tübingen and Mannheim, among others. Numerous research stays took him to the University of British Columbia, Canada and Duke University, USA.

Professor Hofmann's research interests include performance measurement and incentive systems, target setting as well as social norms and incentives. At the Collège he introduces the Fellows to the basics of cost accounting in his course Managerial Accounting & Controlling.
