Prof. Alberto De Marco

Alberto De Marco, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Project Management with the Department of Management at the Politecnico di Torino. He is appointed professor at the Sino-Italian campus in the Tongji University, Shanghai (China) for the Economics for Engineering class. In 2006, he was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Systems Division, where he served as a visiting lecturer for the Project Management class.His research and consulting activities are in three main areas.

The first area is related to project and risk management, asset and capital project management, facilities management, financial planning, project finance, and public-private partnerships for utility, social and infrastructure facilities. The second one is centred on supply chain management, transportation and logistics. The third area is focused on smart city policies, smart city business models and governance systems, application of project finance and PPP to Smart City projects, as well as city logistics and smart mobility business models with regard to regional policies and integration with tracking technologies.
